St. John’s junior Jim Albrecht was angered and disappointed after reading an e-mail he received Saturday.

Albrecht said the e-mail sent by PRiSM, which is currently celebrating and hosting several events during the club’s PROUD week, was both offensive and surprising in regard to the hateful comments that PRiSM has received from several CSB/SJU students.

Campus question: Equitable pay for manual labor?

Q: Why don’t they vary how much students are paid in student employment? People that work at Sexton and the Reef should get paid more than someone who gets paid to sit behind a computer in the IT center while they do their homework or any desk job at CSB/SJU for that matter.

Students lobbying for students

More than 50 students are slated to travel to the Minnesota State Capitol today.

They will lobby on behalf of the Minnesota State College Grant.

The State Grant Program is being allocated $72 million in this year’s Health and Human Services budget, according to Rep. Larry Hosch, DFL-14B.

“In my eyes, it’s a very good budget both for public and private institutions,” Hosch told students Wednesday at a dinner for the lobbying trip.

April Fools’ Day pranks thrive on campus

Last April Fools’ Day, Rhonda Mielke, the staff evening relief lead at McGlynn’s, was told by student managers that campus security was giving her a parking ticket. When she went outside to argue it, she found her car completely shrink-wrapped.
