St. Ben’s swimming and diving team picked up a 166-132 dual conference victory over St. Thomas Saturday.

St. Ben’s took first in eight meet events and was led by senior All-MIAC swimmer Kaelly Simpson who started the Blazers’ dominance by picking up a first place finish in the 1,000- yard freestyle.

All-MIAC junior Brooke Johnson took first in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke.

Johnson along with fellow All-MIAC juniors Becca Schleicher, Kelly Matzen and Alison Pagliaccetti swam to championship honors in the 200-freestyle relay.

Matzen raced to a first-place time of 2:02.76 in the 200 freestyle.

Junior Steph Johnson tallied 192 points in the three-meter diving event, which was good for first place.
