Get Your Green On
February 24th, 2008 by Kurtis NusbaumThis month is the annual Campus Energy Wars. After a poor preformance last year, we encourage our peers to be more conscious of your energy consumption this year, and be geared to win. Energy conservation is a serious issue, but there are easy (and fun) ways you can make a difference.
Here’s our Top 10 ways to make a difference for
our planet:
10. Use your glow-in-the-dark sticky constellations to share a night under the stars in your livingroom.
9 . Find a new cuddle-buddy instead of turning up your thermostat.
8. Celebrate sweet success on that test with a brownie batter night: no oven required.
7. Lights out. Divide your floor into teams and play flashlight tag.
6. Turn off the TV and play charades. Category: film. Did someone say Disney?
5. Challenge your friends to a race up the Quad stairs. Last one up buys a round.
4. Hold a dance-off. No electricity required, just sweet moves.
3. Clip coupons and carpool to the grocery store with your roomies. Catch up on that bonding time.
2. Build the world’s biggest house of cards. Sorry guys, no power tools allowed.
1. Play spin the bottle with your empty pop bottles. Thank God for recycling.
