The weekly siren at St. John’s may be loud, and it may get annoying, but it’s mandatory by state law and for students’ safety. And it is not just for tornadoes or even just severe weather. The outdoor warning siren goes off any time people on campus need to immediately go inside.

Dear Editor,
The St. Ben’s Senate was the pioneer of an electoral practice in which two candidates, one of whom will be studying abroad, run in the same ballot slot and split their term in office if elected, one holding the position for one semester and the other for the rest of the academic year.

Dear Editor,
Mass e-mails need to go. I think it probable that every CSB/SJU student has at one point complained about the number of mass e-mails “flooding” the inbox, or that he or she accidentally trashed a message he or she would have liked to read while in “delete mode.”
