• Like to talk to people and write? If you’re passionate about writing and want to be go behind the scenes of campus events, sports etc., join the news, variety or sports teams as a writer. Tell us which section you’re interested in and why.
• Aspiring to go into advertising? Gain experience as an ad consultant or designer. Ad consultants work with local businesses to persuade them to advertise with the paper. Ad designers put together print advertisements. Consultants receive commission.
• Passionate about photography? Go behind the scenes of campus events and sports to shoot photos for the news, variety, opinion or sports teams.
• A nerd about grammar? Join the copy editing team as a copy editor to proofread articles at 4 p.m. every Wednesday before they’re published.
• Interested in graphic design or drawing? Join the design team. Create illustrations and unique graphics.
