Sen. Erin Moore unwittingly started a small controversy when she initiated a student survey at the bus stop asking St. Ben’s students to identify either as a “Blazer” or a “Bennie.” Some students interpreted the survey as an indication of a Senate preference for the term “Blazer.”

The St. Ben’s Senate amended its by-laws this week, following a 13-0 vote to extend their terms of office.
Senators previously served until one month before the last day of school but will now serve until the last day, May 7, of this year. This day will serve as the point of transition for new senators to assume their responsibilities.
