Recent articles have been written challenging the liberty of belief in God and the Christian faith: First in the encouragement of atheists to speak out, and last week in the decree that religion limits our human experience.

On Halloween, a few friends and I were on our way to a concert. I had grabbed the latest issue of The Record before we left. I found the article on atheism to be of interest, so I decided to read it aloud to my companions.

Sunday morning, my favorite time of the week. With excitement I step outside to find several presents waiting for me. The first gift I spot is a mirror artistically hanging off my roommate’s car. The second, our door to our garage has been creatively broken wide open. Last, my planter has been smashed into five pieces with my Gerber daisies attractivelypositioned perfectly on the pavement. This weekend is like Christmas.

As I departed Mass during Homecoming weekend in late September, I left my wallet in the Abbey Church. It was found and delivered by a fine and honorable person to the Campus Ministry Office with everything intact.

In the local race for U.S. Congress, we are faced with two choices: U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann and El Tinklenberg. Bachmann has been a strong conservative voice in Washington, and Tinklenberg used to be the transportation commissioner in the Ventura administration.
