Cemetery of Innocence

"The cemetery of the victims of human cruelty in our century

is extended to include yet another vast cemetery, that of the unborn."

—Pope John Paul II

Today there are 180 crosses in place between Sexton and Simons Hall.  The cemetery represents the number of people that are aborted in the United States every hour.  It stands in tribute to the 1.3 million children that lost their lives this year because of legal abortion.

…what can you do?

1)    Spread the word.  Wear something pro-life (be it a shirt or a button) Tuesday-Thursday this week.  If you do not have anything pro-life, please wear black to mourn those lost in the violence.

2)    Get involved!  If you would like to receive emails about club events, please register via our website.  Please join us, also, for our next meeting at 7pm on Thursday, October 26!

3)    Pray.  We will be holding a prayer service on Thursday, October 19 and all are invited.

Where: Outside of Simons Hall

What: A prayer service will be held for the victims of abortion.  The first half will be ecumenical prayer, followed by the praying of the rosary.

When: October 19th, 7pm
