Fairly peppy (tempo about 108), and smooth. This is supposed to be a dance.

Bach wrote this piece for the lute, and the mandolin is a member of the lute family, so . . .

Bach's "Bourrée" is a favorite among guitarists. Since it was written for lute, I imagine it would also sound good on mandola or mandocello.
