The tune "Manoah" appeared in H.W. Greatorex's 1851 book Collection of Psalm and Hymn Tunes, Chants, Anthems, and Sentences. The composer is unknown. The text "When All Thy Mercies" was written by Joseph Addison (d. 1719). Both are in the public domain worldwide.

Other texts sometimes set to "Manoah" include "Begin, My Tongue, Some Heavenly Theme," "O Christ Our Hope, Our Heart's Desire," and "Walk in the Light."
