ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROSCOPY

Analysis for low levels of metal ions is performed by an atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The PE 5000 was donated to the Chemistry Department by EcoLabs in 1991, and has served as a workhorse for this type of analysis. It has both flame and graphite furnace capabilities.
