FOURIER-TRANSFORM NUCLEAR MAGNETIC RESONANCE (NMR)

Chemistry Department
College of Saint Benedict/
Saint John's University

In the Fall of 1996, the Chemistry Department, with the support of the National Science Foundation and Keck Foundation, purchased a 300 MHz FT-NMR. The Varian Gemini 2300 FT-NMR will give us the flexibility for use by large numbers of students in organic lab as well for our research program. The instrument can be used for proton, C-13, phosphorous and nitrogen, and with the broadband probe most other nuclei are made available for analysis.
