Mail travels slow down here in the old west. I have some news that
you may find shocking. I just successfully defended my dissertation
and received my PhD at the University of Arizona in chemistry. It
took me just under 5 years. I worked for Dennis Lichtenberger doing
high-resolution gas-phase photoelectron spectroscopy. I was hoping to
use my time down here to improve my golf game, but grad school turned
out to be to much work! Oh well.I plan to provide you with more
information here in the near future. I am going to take a little time
off here. I have a bad case lab over exposure including a minor case
of computer screen sickness.
I am hoping to land a teaching job at a small college like SJU. I am going to try for the Dreyfus Fellowship this year, and I also have some post-doc opportunities. I have been asked to stay a semester here at the U of A to be an adjunct professor and teach an upper division undergrad inorganic course.
