Favey fills niche

The off-season is a time for players to develop and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of his or her particular game. When the next season rolls around, the athlete hopes to showcase a new and improved game.

After starting off the season with a 1-2-1 record, the St. John's hockey team (6-2-1, 4-0-0 MIAC) has won five straight games.

"We are having more success offensively," head coach John Harrington said. "The teams that face us now can't key anyone up because we have guys on all of our lines scoring." Full Story

SJU recovers after down seasons

It's probably unfamiliar to most on these campuses, but if you were to go back a few years, St. John's basketball would be recognized as a program of excellence.

In fact, the Johnnies basketball team has only endured five losing seasons since 1975-76 season. The only problem is that three of those five seasons came in the last three years. Full Story
